Animation Basics is a eight-session program will focus on the basic principles of animation that are the foundation of any successful animated film. This course is for beginners and will test your skills. I will be using the Flipbook feature on Autodesk’s Sketchbook Pro, but lessons can be followed with any program that allows frame-by-frame drawing such as Flip-a-Clip, etc.  

Creativity Within Ourselves is specifically designed for current or future leaders looking to up their leadership game by developing their self awareness, creativity, soft skills, work-life balance, persuasion, influence & negotiation, and investing in developing yourself and others. Each week contains both the theoretical and practical components of learning and integrating these key leadership elements including a quiz at the end of lectures to consolidate learning.

Developing Creativity is an innate creative ability in children when they are born, but for some reason adults can lose it along the way.  Our program will move out of the mundane, be more curious, engage, and explore new ideas.  Recognize creativity and be ready when it happens.

Eight Week Cartooning course is designed to introduce students to Chuck Jones’ characters, learn how to draw using simple shapes, and build confidence in your drawing skills. This course has been specifically designed with younger students in mind, however all who are young at heart are welcome to follow along!

Elements of Comedy by Chuck Jones Center for Creativity will give participants the elements of comedy like physical comedy, improvisation, stock characters, joke writing, caricature, and more! Participants will have the opportunity to dive deep into their imaginations and senses of humor. They will then connect the elements of comedy to their other Chuck Jones art classes and explore ways to incorporate humor into their artwork. Participants will get to write jokes and sketches, play theatre and improv games, tap into their imaginations and humor, and more! Classes may include video shorts and examples of great comedians and clowns of the past like Buster Keaton, Lucille Ball, and many of your favorite Chuck Jones characters. Some activities may involve movement, so come prepared to be up and about and have fun!
